Cemairin Block M is a liquid mortar admixture specially designed to provide an integral water repellent and bond enhancing admixture for masonry mortar.
Cemairin Block M improves the workability of the fresh mortar mix and significantly reduces the amount of water absorbed by the hardened masonry mortar.
Cemairin Block M is used to provide moisture control for the mortar used in masonry structures. The product is used in conjunction with Cemairin Block R range of CMU admixtures to provide a system of water repelling CMU and mortar offering long lasting resistance to water penetration.
Cemairin Block M is available in 5 gal (19 litre) containers as well as 275 gal (1,041 litre) and 330 gal (1,249 litre) IBC totes. Bulk supply in tanker trucks is also available upon request.
The guidance dosage of Cemairin Block M is 14 - 26 oz/3 ft3 (5 - 9 L/ m3) of mortar. This rate is achieved by adding approximately 0.26 gal (1 L) of Cemairin Block M admixture per bag of Portland cement in cement/lime mortars or 0.13 gal (0.5 L) per bag of masonry or mortar cement.
Representative trials should be first conducted to determine the optimum dosage of Cemairin Block M to meet the performance requirements by using the materials and conditions in actual use. When pigments are used to provide a specific color tone, trial batches are strongly recommended to ensure the desired color is reached.
