Donplast PP Fiber is a micro reinforcement, manufactured of 100% polypropylene fibres containing no reprocessed olefin materials designed for use with all cementitious mixes.
The inclusion of Donplast PP Fiber within a concrete mix or cementitious mixes will control shrinkage cracks and will act as an alternative to traditional crack control steel mesh.
Donplast PP Fiber is ideally designed to decrease the plastic shrinkage cracking in the following applications:
- Slab on grade.
- Elevated slabs.
- Parking areas.
- Stamped concrete.
- Precast concrete.
- Water tanks.
- Pavements.
- Shotcrete.
- Renders.
- Composite decks.
Donplast PP Fiber is available in 3/4" (19 mm), 1/2" (13 mm), 1/4" (6 mm) and 1/8" (3 mm) fiber length, filled in 0.5 lb (0.2 kg), 0.67 lb (0.3 kg), 1.0 lb (0.45 kg), 1.3 lb (0.6 kg) and 2.0 lb (0.9 kg) bags.
Dosage of Donplast PP Fiber will vary depending on the area of application and the required properties of concrete mixes. Typical dosage is between 0.5 to 1.0 lb/ yd3 (0.3 to 0.6 kg/m3) of concrete.
Donplast PP Fiber complies with the requirements of ASTM C1116, Type III and ASTM D7508.
