Tri Star Cooperative Housing Society Exterior Painting Work

For maintenance purposes, the contractor and consultant for Tri Star Cooperative Housing Society was enquiring about a coating with multiple protection characteristics that also maintains a good superior matt finish look. The company is located near the artificial lake of Powai, Mumbai which means they have to cope with the high humidity and alternating wet and dry seasons through selecting the best maintenance practices for their structures.

The contractor was oriented on DCP’s multiple benefits and single product’s added properties of anti carbonation, inherent waterproofing breathability, anti-bacterial/fungal property.

The cost effectiveness and availability of an array of shades for the colour scheme added to the contractor’s gratification and appreciation of the high technical factors, quality parameters and commercial viability of Repcoat FF.

Cracks were opened in a V groove and filled with highly elastic over paintable UV resistant elastomeric PU sealant, Flexseal PU440.

The sealed grooves were then covered for additional protection with one coat of acrylic sealant, Flexseal GA700.

Once the repair of all the cracks was complete, the entire area was painted over  by  using  DCP’s  decorative anti-carbonation coating Repcoat FF.

One primer coat followed by two thick coats of Repcoat FF were applied at a total dry film thickness of 150-200 microns.
