Joint Preparation
- The joint surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all contamination
- It is recommended to use masking tape on each side of the joint to maintain clean and uniform joint sides.
- Where applicable, appropriate joint filler e.g. closed cell polyethylene foam, should be used to provide the correct joint depth
Application
- Apply the sealant into the joint starting from the bottom, ensure that the joint is completely filled
- Tool the surface of the sealant within 15 minutes of the application using a spatula
- Remove the masking tape directly after tooling the sealant
