Water based epoxy acrylic coating for cycling tracks and pavements

Griptop Sports 2K is a two component, water based, flexible epoxy modified acrylic coating specially designed to provide high performance, non slip, aesthetic finish, and a low maintenance surface that is suitable for both pedestrian and bike/cycles applications with the necessary abrasion and UV resistance. Griptop Sports 2K is suitable for application on asphalt or portland cement concrete with proper surface preparation, it is formulated to provide a
flexible coating that accommodates the normal expansion and contraction of asphalt surfaces and without peeling.

Griptop Sports 2K coating is designed for use in pedestrian application areas and cycle tracks such as:

  • Pathways, medians, pedestrian plazas.
  • Sidewalks, crosswalks, intersections.
  • Bike/cycle tracks and lanes.
  • Asphalt preservation.
  • Approximately 0.30 - 0.35 litre/m2 per coat to achieve a dry film thickness of 160 - 190 micron per coat.
  • For Three layers application: Each 25 kg pack will cover 17.0 – 19.8 m2, at a total dry film thickness of 0.48 mm – 0.57 mm for the three coats.
  • For Four layers: Each 25 kg pack will cover 12.7 – 14.8 m2, at a total dry film thickness of 0.64 mm – 0.76 mm for the four coats.

Griptop Sports 2K is available in 25 kg packs (23.5 kg part A and 1.5 kg Part B).

Griptop Sports 2K has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored at temperatures between 5oC and 35oC. If these conditions are exceeded.
