Setseal A
Multipurpose resin based concrete curing compound (Formerly known as Setcrete A)
Setseal A is a single component, acrylic resin based, coating designed to impregnate concrete surfaces combining the benefits of a curing aid and hardener. Setseal A is designed to overcome drawbacks of many commonly used curing membranes that tend to provide a limited service life following the curing period of new concrete. It has good abrasion resistance and is compatible with several types of coatings.
- Recoatable.
- Non-degradable, single component.
- Enhanced concrete durability.
- Increase the surface abrasion resistant by 60%.
- UV resistance.
- Helps achieve concrete desired strengths.
- Minimizes potential surface cracking and shrinkage.
- Promotes a harder dust free surface.
- Can be spray applied to reduce labor cost.
- Maintains the anti-static characteristics of the concrete surface.
Setseal A is mainly used for newly cast concrete and cementitious surfaces to retain sufficient moisture to ensure full hydration of the cement.
Typical application areas include:
- High rise construction to eliminate water curing.
- Runways and roads.
- Roof decks.
- Retaining walls.
- Irrigation canals.
- General floor slab and columns.
The recommended coverage rate is 2.5 - 4.5 m² per litre.
Setseal A is available in 25 litre pails and 200 litre drums.
Setseal A has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored in proper conditions in un-opened drums. Store in a dry area out of direct sunlight between 5°C and 35°C.
Setseal A complies with AASHTO M148 and ASTM C309, Type I, Class A and B.
