Flocrete AC100

Non-chloride accelerating admixture

Flocrete AC100 is a liquid admixture specially developed to accelerate the setting time of concrete and increase early strength development without negatively influencing final strengths.

Flocrete AC100 does not contain calcium chloride making it suitable for reinforced concrete, and is formulated to comply with the requirements of ASTM C494, Type C and EN 934-2, table 7 as a hardening accelerating admixture.

  • Increased early compressive and flexural strengths.
  • Faster turnaround of formwork in precast applications.
  • Reduced or eliminated heat or steam curing.
  • Does not affect the ultimate strength of concrete negatively.
  • Chloride-free; will neither initiate nor promote corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete.
  • When used in combination with superplasticizers, Flocrete AC100 will not negatively affect the fresh properties of concrete.
  • Allows for continuous concrete placement at low temperatures.

Flocrete AC100 is especially suitable for any application where fast early strength development is of crucial importance within 6 to 24 hours.

Flocrete AC100 is recommended for use in:

  • Precast concrete.
  • Ready-mix concrete where early de-moulding is needed.
  • Concrete being placed at low temperatures.
  • Fast-track concrete construction.

Flocrete AC100 is available in 25 litres pails, 210 litres drums and 1000 litres bulk supply.

Flocrete AC100 has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored properly in dry conditions in original unopened packaging.

Dosage rates will vary depending on the material used, ambient conditions and the requirements of a specific project.

The recommended dosage of Flocrete AC100 is 0.5 – 4.0 ltr per 100 kg of cement or cementitious materials in the mix, including GGBFS, PFA or microsilica.

Representative trials should be first conducted to determine the optimum dosage of Flocrete AC100 to meet the performance requirements by using the materials and conditions in actual use.

Flocrete AC100 complies with ASTM C 494, Type C and EN 934-2, Table 7
