BOA affordable housing schemes

The Bangalore Development Authority have started aproject for lower and middle class people in Alur. It is an affordable housing project near Makali on Tamkur road. NewZealand precast technology was adopted to construct 1520 flats of 1BHK and 2BHK flats, and 48 blocks were constructed. DCP introduced a new productfor this project, Flexseal C100,an elastomeric acryliccement mortar sealantto be used for all the joints in the towers in this project. This product will be used for joint widths of 10 - 25 mm with MAF of 5%.

Area Covered

The projectis comprised of 48 blocks,10 of which have been completed. Each block contains approximately 1300 Rmtr.

DCP recommended the use of Flexseal C100, a two component polymer modified cementitious tough sealant, suitablefor sealing joints and cracks in concrete, pre cast elements, mortars and bricks. Productis ideally designedfor sealing joints between pre cast elements for both horizontal and vertical application. Flexseal C100 is ideal to use for the jointsin the towers of this project becauseit can be used to seal joints with anticipated movement up to 5% and can seal all types of cracks in concrete and masonry.
