DCP Saudi organise training session in coordination with National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA) – USA

DCP Saudi organised a one day training  session in coordination with NRMCA through their local agent in the region  (Grey Matters Consultancy) where fifteen engineers from different fields participated in the training session. Including Precast concrete, Ready Mix Concrete,  Government authority in addition to concrete admixture industry (DCP Saudi).

The training session took place on 24th December 2014 in Riyadh  Sheraton hotel where many technical topics were highlighted such as:

  • Concrete mix design methodology according to ACI,
  • Standard practices for concrete sampling and testing,
  • Variables that affect the concrete compressive strength,
  • Statistics for Concrete ,
  • Characteristic strength and target strength,
  • Acceptance rules for compressive strength,
  • Non-destructive testing; when to use and how to analyse,
  • Concrete coring; how and when, interpretation of core test results and acceptance criteria (ACI).

During the session many technical interventions and case studies were introduced by the participants related to the presented topics.

This training session is a part of a DCP international vision to improve their staff technical capability by continuous training and cooperate with international organisations and customer’s technical staff to improve technical awareness in the Saudi concrete field industry.

At the end of the session, an attendance certificate approved by NRMCA was awarded to the participants.
