Water based paraffin dispersion concrete curing compound
Setseal 33 is a water based curing compound formulated from selected emulsified paraffins to form a low viscosity wax emulsion.
Setseal 33 is supplied as a white liquid which forms a wet white film when applied to concrete surfaces. This dries to form transparent film which retains sufficient moisture in the concrete to ensure full hydration of the cement, which is essential for optimum strength development.
Setseal 33 white is also available, which at recommended coverage rates gives a daylight reflectance value of 60 - 80% to reduce surface heat gain.

Setseal 33 is used mainly for newly cast concrete and cemen ous surfaces to retain sufficient moisture to ensure full hydration of the cement.
Typical application areas include:
- Runways and roads.
- Roof decks.
- Retaining walls.
- Irrigation canals.
- Concrete floors.
The recommended coverage rate is 3 - 4 m²/litre.
Setseal 33 is available in 5, 20 and 200 litre containers.
Setseal 33 has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture for the clear version, and 9 months for the pigmented, if stored in proper conditions in un-opened drums. Store in a dry area out of direct sunlight between 5°C and 35°C.
- Setseal 33 complies with AASHTO M148 and ASTM C309, Type I and 2, Class A.
- Water retention (kg / m²) < or = 0.55.
- Setseal 33 is suitable for use in contact with potable water when tested in accordance to BS 6920.
