Mortar retarder admixture for ready-to-use application
Trowelite RS is formulated from selected polymers specially designed to work as a mortar retarder admixture that extends the workability retention for long time up to 72 hours. However, when the mortar is placed between absorbent masonry units or spread on the surface as in the plastering application, setting is accelerated and the mortar sets normally.

Trowelite RS is recommended for sand cement mortars to extend workability retention up to 72 hours, this property facilitate the provision of mortar to building sites by readymix suppliers.
Trowelite RS is available in 210 litre drums and 1000 litre bulks supply.
Trowelite RS has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored at temperatures between 2°C to 40°C.
The guidance dosage of Trowelite RS is 0.2% - 1.2% of cement weight.
When lime is used in the mortar, Trowelite RS should be dosed on the total amount at lime and cement in the mix.
Based on trials experience you can keep the mortar workable for more than 6 - 8 hours when you use Trowelite RS at 0.2% dosage and for more than 3 days
when using dosage of 1.2%. However representative trials at laboratory should be conducted to determine the optimum dosage of Trowelite RS to meet the performance requirements by using the materials and conditions in actual use.
Trowelite RS complies with EN 934-3, T.3, as long term retarding admixture for masonry mortar.
