EVA-CON
Evaporation control compound for concrete
EVA-CON is a concentrated, water based polymer liquid which controls the evaporation rate from fresh concrete. EVA-CON forms a thin continuous monomolecular film when applied to fresh concrete surfaces, which temporarily reduces rapid moisture loss from the concrete surface.
- Reduces evaporation rate.
- Reduces shrinkage cracks.
- Improves cement hydration.
- Economic, easy to dilute.
- Control the surface condition of slabs.
EVA-CON is used mainly for fresh concrete to retain sufficient moisture and control the evaporation rate so that it will minimize the problem of rapid drying in high temperatures and low humidity and windy conditions.
Typical applications include:
- Plain concrete.
- Reinforced concrete.
- Silica-fume concrete.
- Cementitious floor hardeners (after screeding).
The recommended coverage rate for diluted solution (10 to 1) is 5 - 10 m²/litre.
EVA-CON is available in 25 litre pails and 200 litre drums.
EVA-CON has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored in proper conditions in un-opened drums. Store unopened in the original pack in a dry area out of direct sunlight between 5°C and 35°C.
