Epoxy-based primer for the Strongcoat and Griptop ranges
Strongcoat Primer is a two-pack, solvent-free epoxy-based primer for use with the DCP range of surface coatings and toppings
Strongcoat Primer is used as a prime coat to aid improving adhesion of subsequent epoxy layers. One or two coats should be applied depending on the texture, porosity and evenness of the surface being primed.
Strongcoat Primer is applied at a coverage rate of 0.2 to 0.25 kg/m² to achieve a thickness of approximately 175 to 225 microns. Depending on the state of the substrate, a second coat may be required.
Note: Coverage figures will vary according to the texture, porosity and evenness of the surface on which the Strongcoat Primer is being applied.
Strongcoat Primer is available in 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg packs.
Store at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
Approximately 24 months if stored in unopened containers and under good conditions.
