Task at Hand

Mahatma Mandir Exhibition Centre and Memorial is one of the biggest convention cenres in India. With its unique column free convention halls that can accommodate 15,000 people at a time and its spectacular memorial that consists of dome-shaped museum and remarkable suspended bridge, this 140,000 m2 project represents a serious challenge for the contractor in concrete works.

DCP SOLUTION

In order to overcome the congestion in steel reinforcements and enhance the flowability of concrete mixture, DCP supplied its Hyperplasticiser concrete admixture Hyperplast PC711 which is a polycarboxylic based admixture specially designed to make the water content work in a more effective manner in the mix and help to produce high strength and self-consolidating concrete.

To obtain a high finish for the concrete poured, in addition to minimizing any concrete surface repair in the project, DCP supplied Formcoat S100 for formwork maintenance as it highly improves finish and fair-faced concrete quality. It minimizes the needed cleaning of the formwork and extends its usable life.
