Horse Stable

The project at hand was the refurbishment of a horse stable, the main challenge which faced the contractor during the refurbishment process was achieving a resilient hardwearing flooring system for the floors of the stable.

The technical team at DCP UK proposed the use of Cemflow Exterior Topping, is a polymer modified cementitious topping designed to eliminate surface irregularities and smooth internal and external concrete surfaces exposed to heavy traffic. 

This system provided the perfect solution to be applied over the existing floor and achieve the needed superior resilience to wear and the ability to withstand frost thaw cycles.

Moreover, to ensure satisfactory bonding of Cemflow Exterior Topping, the prepared surface was dampened down to minimise pinholing.
