Trafficable Flooring System Refurbishment

DCP was approached for a quality based flooring system refurbishment project by Schneider Electric President Systems Ltd (Previously APW President Systems Limited), a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of standard and customized enclosure systems in India and has been the market leader for over 27 years in 19-inch enclosures for IT and Telecom infrastructure, systems management and operations.

The client’s requirement for the project was for a seamless aesthetic and even flooring system to be applied on the existing 10 year old worn-out RCC floor slab surface was suffering from defects such as undulations and pot holes.

The proposed flooring system should withstand frequent movement throughout the day of rubberized trolleys and forklifts carrying loads of 2-4 tons.

Due to the nature of the project being an existing and ongoing business, DCP’s solutions required a quick and profes- sional turnaround time from enquiry to inspecting and reporting on the floor condition to technical and commercial proposal submittal and justification to execution in order to minimise any delays in the business operations of the client.

DCP was able to go beyond the client’s expectations by providing FeRFA compliant Strongcoat Flooring System solu- tions in order to cover 4,000 m² (67% of the project) within 5 days. In addition, the client was highly satisfied with the enhanced productivity and aesthetic aspect of the new flooring system which also provides easier maintenance.
